JOB TITLE:    Assistant Professor of Marketing

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This is a tenure-track position. Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in marketing, international business, supply chain, and Elon's Core Curriculum. Work with marketing faculty to continuously improve the curriculum of the marketing major. Conduct academic research in marketing. Mentor students in their degree progress, course plan, and academic research. Participate in the services and activities at department, business school, and university levels to support the life and progress of the university including undergraduate research, studying abroad, serving on university and school committees, and advising student organizations. Create a constant stream of scholarly publications and contribute to the life of the university through service.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

The minimum requirements for the position include a Ph.D. in Marketing or related discipline, at least two (2) semesters (or approximately 8 months) of teaching at the graduate level, experience teaching Social Media Marketing and Social Media Marketing Analytics, and evidence of four to six in-review or published papers. Graduate coursework must have included decision analysis using SAS and statistical analysis using R or similar. Candidate must possess a postsecondary teaching evaluation with a rank of 80% or higher.

SALARY: $118,000 per year.
