Position Summary
The Department of English at Elon University, North Carolina invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor specializing in Health Humanities and Literature, beginning mid-August 2027. The successful candidate will have training and expertise in both the Health Humanities and Literature. A Ph.D. in English by start date and a record of innovation and excellence in teaching are required. Teaching literature and first-year writing are foundational to this position. Teaching will include up to six classes per year, including introductory and advanced literature; first-year writing; and interdisciplinary courses in the Elon Core Curriculum.
