Position Summary
The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with proven experience providing BI solutions will have an immediate impact on enhancing operational and strategic data informed decision-making for the University. Through this role, this position would have the opportunity to provide insights that impact policy, practice and outcomes at Elon University working in a team environment to design, develop, and deliver enterprise business intelligence and analytic solutions. Ideal candidates will have excellent technical and interpersonal skills as well as a strong commitment to supporting our values that include team focus, creative problem solving, and technical curiosity.

Minimum Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math and a minimum of 5 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience as a BI Developer.
Preferred Education and Experience
Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math
• Strong experience leading BI initiatives
• Experience designing and developing data warehouse and reporting architectures
• Experience with BI technologies, such as SSAS, MS Power BI, Tableau and other BI applications.
• Strong experience gathering requirements and designing and building solutions to meet those requirements.
• Strong experience sourcing and integrating data from disparate data sources (Cloud and on-premise relational databases, APIs, files of varying formats)
• Strong experience modeling data for both transactional and reporting systems.
• Experience using ETL or ELT to transform data into formats appropriate for reporting and analytics
• Strong experience creating reports and dashboards.
• Experience with software development best practices such as agile methodologies, source code control, prototyping, and testing.
• Experience with troubleshooting enterprise Bl systems and processes.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Experience training technical and non-technical users on BI tools.
