Position Summary

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Advancement Services – Data Management, the Coordinator position is responsible for maintaining constituent data in Raiser's Edge, overseeing and ensuring the accuracy of data entry and maintenance within the CRM, assisting with training database users, and support the Data Management team in all data integrity efforts.

Minimum Required Education and Experience

Associate degree, or vocational or technical school degree in any relevant field of study with minimum 3 years of experience with the following relevant work experience: 3+ years in data/database management or administrations in a fundraising setting

Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study

 

Job Duties

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • In partnership with Assistant Director of Data Management, create and maintain all procedure, processes and training materials for Advancement Services and ensure adherence to standards and regulations across the University Advancement division.
    • Develop new and efficient data management policies and procedural documentation for Advancement Services. Review as needed to ensure best practices standards are being upheld and applied across all data collection and management within University Advancement.
    • Develop data integrity and collection standards for University Advancement. Provide strategic leadership by assessing the data management inboxes to determine work volume, assign tasks to appropriate team members to complete, based on skill, workflow, and volume of pending requests.
    • Serve as a Raiser's Edge Power user and demonstrate expert knowledge of data management, entry, hygiene, and RE skill.
  • Operations:
    • Maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and annual database clean-up efforts by managing established data integrity dashboards and reports.
    • Create new data integrity dashboards and reports when needed. Execute global data adds, changes and deletes, and provide support to the Assistant Director of Data Management with larger data imports, when needed.
    • Provide support for all other day-to-day data updates in RE for the Data management team.
  • Communications and Engagement:
    • Collaborate with various advancement staff/teams and conduct research to gather information needed regarding data projects and communicate with colleagues about projects, events, or campaign goal.
    • Troubleshoot data questions or concerns by accessing data from various systems across campus, including Colleague and Slate, and address issues appropriately based on established policies within the University.
  • Other:
    • Support Gift Management team during busy seasons, including gift processing for Elon Day, providing back-up for donation processing and/or deposit preparation.
    • Support Elon University events and projects (Move In, Commencement Week, etc.) and University Advancement events and projects (Homecoming & Reunion Weekend, regional events, Family Weekend, mailing/shipping fulfillment, etc.)
