Position Summary

This position is responsible recruiting qualified graduate applicants to Elon University, developing and executing recruitment activities, providing feedback to program marketing to help ensure accuracy and clarity in messaging and details, and managing admission procedures to support successful matriculation into graduate programs including applying decisions, scholarship awards as appropriate, and connecting with other stakeholder groups within the Elon community to facilitate a strong matriculation experience. Program management territories are subject to change based on current graduate priorities, institutional strategic plans and enrollment goals. This particular position description supports the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (PA) and Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) programs.

Minimum Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree required. Minimum 3 years of relevant work required, including experience in higher education admissions recruitment, experience in events management, customer service, or high-end sales required, or combination of experience and education.

Preferred Education and Experience

Master's degree preferred. Experience in graduate admissions strongly preferred. Experience with building diversified content strategies preferred. Experience with holistic admissions strongly preferred.

 

Job Duties

  • Recruitment and Admissions - Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with prospective students and program staff via telephone, web, and email. - Advise and counsel students about program benefits, admission process/requirements, and financial planning at all stages of interest, and connect students with key campus resources in a timely manner. - Collaborate closely with program leadership and stakeholders to coordinate and execute strategic admissions process. - Collaborate closely with key institutional stakeholders including the Director of Inclusive Excellence for Graduate and Professional Education to create a meaningful and inclusive experience for every touchpoint with our graduate students. Focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion as it relates to recruitment and communications. - Evaluate all graduate applicants in assigned territory for admission: transcripts, test scores, recommendations, essays, resume. - Communicate details regarding program enrollment, application review, and admissions decision status clearly in a timely manner. - Connect all admitted students with incoming student resources to facilitate a strong admissions and matriculation experience for graduate students enrolling into programs within assigned territory. 
  • Events Management - Organize and host virtual and on/off-campus events with prospective students - Travel to select graduate and career fairs to connect with prospective students
  • Marketing Plan and Outreach - Collaborate with University Marketing and Communications, the director of graduate admissions and the graduate program teams to develop and manage a comprehensive marketing plan to reach enrollment goals. - Collaborate with key institutional stakeholders to set and implement a sophisticated, automated communication plan to engage and nurture prospective students as they consider graduate study at Elon to support prospective students throughout the admissions funnel. - Provide social media content relating to admissions-related events, deadlines, and program details to contribute to an overarching content strategy. - Collaborate with campus stakeholders (University Marketing and Communications, Graduate Admissions, and program leadership to manage and plan the marketing budget for programs within the assigned territory.
