Title: Accreditation Manager for Campus Safety and Police

Position Summary
Assigned to the Department Administration and works under the direct supervision of the
Assistant Chief. The Accreditation Manager serves as the department’s primary accreditation coordinator to ensure compliance with standards for CALEA, IACLEA and any associated with future Accreditation opportunities. The Accreditation Manager is responsible for maintaining accurate accreditation records, revising, and updating departmental accreditation files as necessary. The Accreditation Manager also serves as the departmental liaison with accrediting bodies and coordinates re-accreditation on-site visits.
This position involves technical policy development and maintenance of proofs of
compliance files within the department. The Accreditation Manager is responsible, in
collaboration with the Assistant Chief, for reviewing, revising, and developing policy and
procedure to ensure accuracy, consistency and clarity in administrative policy. The
position must maintain a thorough knowledge of departmental policies and procedures,
as well as the legal aspects and compliance requirements with Accreditation standards.
This position requires work to be performed with relative independence. The job
requires interaction with all levels of the department and coordination with other campus
and community stakeholders.

Minimum Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED
Preferred Education and Experience
A two-year degree or higher preferred.
Prior experience in Accreditation (i.e. IACLEA, CALEA) preferred.
Some experience in organizational planning and project management, records
management and retention procedures, or compliance initiatives, or an equivalent
combination of education and experience.
