Elon University’s Department of Sport Management in the School of Communications invites applications for an adjunct faculty member to teach Sport Sales and Promotion in the Study USA Charlotte program: The Sport and Community Experience in Fall 2026 (August – December, 2026). We are seeking an accomplished sport business professional to bring real-world sales expertise into the classroom.

Charlotte is one of the fastest-growing sport business hubs in the country, hosting over 220 days of live sporting events annually. Home to the Charlotte Hornets, Carolina Panthers, Charlotte FC, NASCAR, and the ACC, the city provides an ideal environment for students pursuing careers in sport business, particularly in ticket sales, sponsorship, and fan engagement. This course prepares students to utilize ethical and effective persuasive techniques across a variety of sport job forms and functions. Students learn best practices for sales scenarios ranging from ticket sales to sponsorships; proven strategies for sales management and training; and how to successfully promote sport products across paid, owned, and earned media. The ideal instructor will draw on active or recent experience in ticket sales, sponsorship, or revenue generation to bring real-world application to the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

Teach Sport Sales and Promotion with a strong emphasis on applied sales skills and revenue generation
Integrate current industry practices, tools, and trends into coursework
Incorporate experiential learning, including industry projects, guest speakers, and site visits
Provide feedback on student sales presentations, writing, and professional development
Facilitate networking opportunities between students and Charlotte-area sport industry contacts.

Qualifications

Required:

Master’s degree in sport management, business, marketing, or related field
Professional experience in sport sales, sponsorship, ticketing, or promotion
Commitment to student-centered, experiential teaching

Preferred:

This course is best taught by someone currently working in the sport sales industry.
Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, KORE, Archtics)
Teaching or training experience
Familiarity with the Charlotte sports landscape

Program & Location

This position is part of Elon University’s Study USA Charlotte: The Sport and Community Experience, an immersive program where students live, intern, and engage directly with the sport industry .

The Social Sciences Research Librarian will work across several social science departments to strengthen information literacy, curricular engagement, and disciplinary inquiry. This position will also contribute to Belk Library's emerging Research and Publishing team by helping develop a service portfolio that cultivates scholarship and undergraduate research, including data services, grant and publication guidance, emerging tools and technologies, open research practices, evidence synthesis, and strategies for advancing open access and the library's new institutional repository. Student Success Coaches play a pivotal role in achieving Elon’s student retention, persistence, and graduation goals. By fostering strong interpersonal relationships and implementing data-informed interventions, Success Coaches encourage each student’s retention and persistence to graduation while enhancing each student’s holistic academic, social, and personal success. Success Coaches report directly to the Assistant Dean for Student Success and Retention while providing secondary support (and reporting) to the Executive Director of Elon’s Koenigsberger Learning Center.

Director of External Partnerships for the School of Engineering and Computing

Director of External Partnerships Working within the School of Engineering & Computing, the Director of External Partnerships (DEP) plays a critical role in enabling the growth of Elon's Engineering and Computer Science industry-sponsored programs and establishing partnerships that align value creation and learning. The DEP supports the execution of Elon’s strategic plan by creating opportunities for students to engage in impact-centered educational experiences, including the Senior Projects in Elon Engineering Design (SPEED) as well as new programs that are currently at the inception or prototype stage. The DEP’s responsibilities include the full cycle of business development, project development, and partner relationship management. Evening and Weekend Reference Librarian - Law

Elon University School of Law

The Elon University School of Law Library is located in Greensboro, North Carolina. The law library attempts to fully meet the educational and research needs of the Elon Law community, including students, staff, faculty, and adjuncts. The Law Library also serves as a source of legal information for the Elon Law alumni base, practicing attorneys in Greensboro, and provides limited services to the general public. The Evening and Weekend Reference Librarian – Law position is part of the law library staff of seven positions. One of the key responsibilities of this position is legal research instruction. The position requires co-teaching (and occasional individual teaching) in the library instructional program along with three other librarians, including the library director. In collaboration with the Acquisitions & Electronic Resources Librarian, this position oversees the library’s Federal Depository Program. Although infrequent, travel to and from Elon University’s central campus and Charlotte campus may be needed. All required travel and most travel for professional development is supported by the law library.
