Position Summary
Bringing Theory to Practice (BT2P) is a national initiative, hosted at Elon University, that works to advance the core purposes of undergraduate education through innovation, advocacy, and research. The Program Coordinator will serve as the lead administrator for BT2P, overseeing its operations, including budgeting and grants. The Program Coordinator will have both campus and outward-facing responsibilities, reporting to the Director and working with him and their staff colleagues to advance the mission of BT2P, implement strategic priorities, and plan programs, activities, and public events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Management of administrative, office, and financial operations
• Oversight of budget and financial accounts, including liaison with Elon University financial operations
• Management of BT2P subgrants and working with Senior Project Manager on overseeing relationships with grantees
• Work with Director on development of grant proposals and oversight of grant management and reporting
• Work with Director to build and sustain campus relationships and collaborations
• Operational management of program and staff retreats, including hotel and meeting room reservations, catering, event contracts, attendee reimbursements, and other logistics
• Serving as Secretary to the Advisory Board, including scheduling and planning board discussions
• Supervising student workers who support BT2P functions such as website management, social media, and listserv

Minimum Required Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in budgeting, oversight of financial operations, and tracking financial accounts
• Experience in event management, project management, and organizational operations
• Experience in either higher education or non-profit organizations
* Strong capacity for collaboration and relationship-building within Elon University and across higher-education networks.
* Oversight of listserv communications (MailChimp)
Preferred Education and Experience
• MA in relevant field desirable but not necessary.
• Experience managing and mentoring students, interns, and entry-level colleagues is desirable
• Experience with current issues in higher education is desirable; interest in higher education is necessary
• Experience with grant management desirable
* Experience with writing, editing, and publishing newsletters desirable.
