Position Summary

The primary purpose of the Elon University Campus Safety & Police Department is to protect life and property while maintaining an atmosphere conducive to the educational mission of the University. The Program Assistant is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations, providing support for the staff within the office. The Program Assistant must be highly organized and efficient with the ability to balance multiple tasks and responsibilities. They must have strong critical thinking skills, the ability to exercise good judgment, and must maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality. They must maintain excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This is a temporary part-time position, working 15 hours per week.

Minimum Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

Prefer existing experience with pdf creators, form creators and management of social media accounts.
One year of college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Other Training, Certifications, or Licensing

Proficient with Microsoft Office products to include PowerPoint, excel and word.
