Position Summary
We are excited to welcome a new leader to the SPDC team in a role dedicated to business students within the Love School of Business at Elon University. This is a hands-on role working with students leading a dynamic team of four individuals committed to best practices within the career services space.
If you are a strong communicator with a passion for helping others determine and achieve professional growth, this role is for you! As Senior Associate Director of Career Services for the Love School of Business Services, you will have the opportunity to create a strategic vision for the team in developing and expanding upon efforts to support career services access for all LSB students and contribute to the strategic direction of the Student Professional Development Center’s work within Elon’s Love School of Business.
The Student Professional Development Center reports through the Senior Vice President for Advancement and External Affairs to the President's Office. The Senior Associate Director of Career Services, Love School of Business reports to the Assistant Vice President of the Student Professional Development Center.
The Senior Associate Director of Career Services for the Love School of Business serves as a member of the Student Professional Development Center leadership team. This position is responsible for programming and serves as a partnership lead with the Love School of Business, building relationships with the dean, associate dean, department chairs, faculty, and staff to create and support career development partnerships and programs. This position also serves as a career advisor within the Love School of Business, providing professional development support to undergraduate students, graduate students, and recent alumni through 1:1 appointments, drop-in meetings, classroom presentations and workshops. The Senior Associate Director of Career Services for the Love School of Business also supervises professional full-time staff.

Minimum Required Education and Experience
Master's degree in MBA, higher education, counseling, or a degree related to the majors that the staff will be advising with more than 8 years of experience with the following relevant work experience: Experience in higher education/career services is required. Experience in business is preferred but not required. Comfort presenting to large audiences and relaying information in a 1:1 setting. Clear communication and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment preferred.
