Position Summary
The Director of Parent Relations for Admissions will serve as a vital bridge between the University and the families of prospective students, fostering open communication and active involvement throughout the admissions cycle, with specific focus on yield. Alongside the Director of Regional Admissions, this role is responsible for designing and implementing strategies that inform, engage, and support parents, ensuring they feel empowered and well-prepared to support their children as they consider and matriculate to Elon. Through collaborative initiatives, personalized outreach, and tailored resources, the Director will enhance the overall admissions experience for parents, build lasting relationships with families, and contribute to the institution's enrollment goals.
This position will be based in the California area.

Minimum Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree required. Three to five years’ experience in sales and/or marketing required; Excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal and public speaking experience. Effective time management and organizational skills and strong analytical skills to monitor progress toward enrollment goal. Be able and willing to travel extensively to cover assigned territory and to visit campus. Demonstrated ability to work both independently, particularly in a virtual/remote setting, and as part of a team. Experience with event planning and service to students/parents. Willing and able to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.
Required Other Training, Certifications, or Licensing
Interested applicants must have a valid driver license and be insurable by the University’s carrier. Following a conditional offer of employment, Elon conducts motor vehicle record checks on all job applicants who are required to drive a university vehicle as an essential function of their job. Thereafter, a random motor vehicle record check will be conducted annually. Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a motor vehicle record check.
