Position Summary
Elon University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Biochemistry. The position will begin mid-August 2026. This position requires the candidate to:
* Hold a PhD in Biochemistry, Chemistry or closely related field
* Have extensive knowledge and experience with Biochemistry techniques
* Exhibit a commitment to high-quality teaching
* Demonstrate promise for a significant and sustained research program in Biochemistry
* Demonstrate the desire and ability to mentor undergraduate researchers
Teaching requirements will include Biochemistry I and II and Biochemistry labs, General Chemistry I and II and General Chemistry labs, Advanced Chemistry courses and labs, and courses in the Elon Core curriculum. Candidates who have experience working with a diverse range of people, and who can contribute to the climate of inclusivity are encouraged to identify their experiences in their cover letter.
