Position Summary

Position is responsible for daily operations of heterogeneous computing environment comprising of servers running Stand-alone and Virtual infrastructure and key associated services (AD, DNS, DHCP, Federated identity management systems, etc.). Serve as an Identity and Access Management administrator. Duties will include, but are not limited to, Web Server infrastructure administration(IIS, WordPress) A thorough working knowledge of Linux, Windows Server, and VMware is essential. Act as a Technical escalation liaison for client support team. The position includes support contact management and requires 24×7 availability for mission critical systems and applications.

Technical Certification (MCSE, VSP) is preferred, Any computer related certification is desirable. MCSA, MCSE, RHCSA, RHCE, MCPS, and/or other industry standard certifications related to the job tasks are highly desirable.

    • Provide support and maintenance for in-house Identity and Access Management (IAM)system.
    • Generate and maintain automation tasks.
    • A working knowledge of automation and configuration management tools(Ansible, Terraform)
    • Provide support for the operation and reliability of all Infrastructure maintained Web Servers and services.
    • An advanced understanding of programming languages(PowerShell, Bash, Python) is required

    • Integrate locally developed, open source, vendor, and cloud-based services with single sign-on infrastructure including LDAP, Active Directory, and Shibboleth/SAML. 
    • Research and Planning
    • Research, evaluate, design, and implement enterprise-wide systems infrastructure.
    • Perform periodic review of systems infrastructure: Server operating systems updates(including major version changes), Active Directory maintenance and updates, DNS/DHDP maintenance and updates, Linux maintenance and updates in order to maintain and improve architecture standards. ·
    • Prepare documentation, including diagrams and inventories. · Collaborate with other IT staff and leadership in reviewing new and existing IT projects, systems designs and plans, identity and privilege management and authentication, and conducting research on emerging technologies to support changes in systems infrastructure. · System usage monitoring along with producing statistical data as needed. - (Essential)
  • Monitoring · Capacity planning, system usage monitoring, provide statistical data as needed.
    • Monitor overall system performance and making necessary tuning adjustments to ensure reliability, availability, and security with minimum unplanned downtime. This includes monitoring of processors, disk space, log files, processes, security, and backups.
    • Configure systems to minimize security violations. Detect and track security violations and work with networking and other systems administrators if necessary when resolving incidents.
    • Configure and use monitoring tools such as Splunk and PRTG to monitor systems and alert outages.
    • Diagnosis and resolution of complex systems infrastructure related performance and availability issues.
    • Benchmark, monitor, and enhance IAM system to improve its reliability and scalability.
  • Business Continuity
    • Backups and DR – Avamar/Data Domain, local and cloud · 24 hours – 7 days a week availability for all mission critical systems and applications
    • Support for IT Systems, Service Desk
    • Configure systems to minimize security violations. Detect and track security violations and work with networking and other systems administrators if necessary, in resolving incidents.
