Position Summary
The Associate Director of Marketing Communications for the School of Law helps to develop and execute communications and marketing tactics to showcase the accomplishments, teaching, scholarship, service, innovation, and leadership of the students, faculty, staff, and alumni of Elon University’s School of Law with locations in Greensboro and Charlotte, North Carolina. This position advances the overall academic profile and reputation of Elon University through adherence to brand identify and messaging while helping the School of Law achieve strategic priorities. The Associate Director of Marketing Communications for the School of Law reports to the Assistant Vice President for Strategic Communications and Media Relations with a dotted line report to the Dean of the School of Law. This position maintains an office inside School of Law facilities in Greensboro, N.C., and is a member of the School of Law dean’s leadership team. This position uses strategic approaches to communications and audience engagement to advance the admissions, philanthropic, and career placement priorities of the School of Law.

Minimum Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or related field with minimum 5 years of experience with the following relevant work experience; required experience writing in Associated Press style for communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field; experience with creating multimedia content and managing institutional social media accounts.
Preferred Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or related field; preferred experience with SEO website optimization and preferred experience in media relations.
