Position Summary
The School of Health Sciences Lab Manager supports the educational and research missions of the Departments of Physical Therapy Education, Nursing, and Physician Assistant Studies. This person is responsible for managing and maintaining clinical skills and research lab spaces, ensuring they are safe, functional, and equipped to meet the needs of faculty and students. The Lab Manager collaborates across departments to support innovative teaching, learning, and research initiatives while promoting operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
This position requires a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented professional capable of balancing diverse priorities across multiple departments in a dynamic academic environment.
Scope: Oversight and management of all clinical labs and research labs in the Gerald L. Francis Center excluding the Interprofessional Simulation Center, Anatomical Gift Program and Anatomy Lab.

Minimum Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree – Field of study: Health Sciences, Science, Laboratory Science, or a related field (e.g., biomechanics, biological, biomedical, or occupational safety).
Minimum 1 year relevant work experience with:
• Experience maintaining equipment, and ensuring laboratories run efficiently in a high-demand, multitasking environment.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical, operational, or logistical issues.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, local environmental laws, and relevant safety standards.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Required Other Training, Certifications, or Licensing
Board certification in a recognized professional health and safety discipline such as industrial hygiene (CIH) or safety professional (CSP).
Valid driver's license, and meet the insurability requirements to drive on behalf of the University
