Elon University located in Elon, North Carolina cordially invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in Finance. This is a tenure-track position in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business’ Department of Finance, starting in Fall 2025.
We will conduct interviews at the Financial Management Association meetings in Dallas, Texas, October 2024.
To support Elon’s teacher/scholar mission, we provide extensive research and teaching development programs, including a pre-tenure sabbatical, course releases, summer and academic year research grants, and funds for conference travel. Elon faculty have access to WRDS, Bloomberg, FactSet and other finance databases through the Reed Finance Center.
The position entails teaching courses in the finance program at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as in the Elon Core Curriculum.
The minimum requirements for the position include a Doctorate in Finance obtained prior to September 1, 2025, from an AACSB-accredited business school and evidence of teaching at least three credit hours as an instructor of record at an AACSB-accredited institution. The classes must have been related to at least one of the following: investments, corporate finance, or other finance-related courses. A clear background check is also required for this position.
